Whether you're completely new to energy healing or feel called to deepen your spiritual practice, this Usui Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) training course offers a grounded, supportive and practical introduction to Reiki.
This 2-day Reiki training gives you a strong foundation in energy healing, enabling you to confidently begin practising self-Reiki and offering Reiki to friends, family, and pets.
A personal, small-group Reiki training experience
This is not a large workshop or crowded classroom.
Each of my Reiki courses is intentionally designed as a small group experience (maximum 4 students, often 2–3), creating a calm and spacious learning environment where you can fully absorb the teachings and learn at your own pace.
You’ll receive personalised guidance, tailored feedback, hands-on practice, and individual support throughout your Reiki training in Purley, South London.
You won’t feel rushed, overlooked, or overwhelmed, but fully supported throughout your Reiki journey, with plenty of time for questions in a relaxed, open setting.

Shoden Reiki Course
A complete 2-day Reiki Level 1 training in Purley, South London, designed to give you a grounded introduction to Reiki and the confidence to begin practising.
There are two ways to experience this training, depending on how supported you’d like to feel as you begin your Reiki journey.
Core Reiki Level 1 training | £295
A grounded introduction to Reiki
This Reiki Level 1 course is ideal if you want to learn Reiki in a structured small group setting and feel confident integrating your practice independently afterwards.
You’ll receive a complete foundation in Reiki, including attunements, theory, and hands-on practice.
What’s included:
- 2-day Reiki Level 1 training in Purley, South London
- Small group setting (max 4 students)
- Four in-person Reiki attunements (Usui Reiki Level 1 – Shoden)
- Internationally recognised Reiki Level 1 certificate
- Comprehensive training manual
- Reiki lineage tracing back to Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki
What we cover:
- Reiki history, principles, and ethics
- Energy awareness and the chakra system
- An overview of the Eastern and Western Reiki approaches
- Grounding, protection, and energy sensing techniques
Practical Reiki training includes:
- Self-Reiki practice
- Seated (rapid) Reiki treatments
- Full Reiki treatments on others
- Hand positions for Reiki practice
- Intuitive and everyday Reiki application

Immersive Reiki Level 1 training | £495
A supported Reiki experience
This Immersive Reiki Level 1 training includes everything in the Core Reiki Level 1 training, with additional guidance designed to help you feel confident, grounded, and supported as you begin practising Reiki in real life.
Rather than leaving your training and feeling unsure of what comes next, you’ll be gently guided through a more integrated process so Reiki feels clear, natural, and easy to apply.
Includes everything in Core training, plus:

1:1 Intensive Reiki healing session (95 minutes)
A deeply supportive session with me, either before your training to help you clear and prepare, or afterwards to support your 21-day integration process -
Post-course integration session
A dedicated space to reconnect, ask questions, and revisit anything you’d like further clarity on after your course -

An opportunity to continue practising your skills, deepen your experience, and stay connected with a like-minded, supportive community -
Confidence and Reiki Practice Support Guide
Gentle guidance to help you build trust in your practice and begin using Reiki in everyday life
Ideal for those who want extra support, reassurance, and guidance as they begin using Reiki after their training.
Not sure which to choose?
Both options fully certify you in Reiki Level 1. There is no wrong choice - only different levels of support.
If you’d like to learn and integrate your practice independently, Core training may suit you.
If you’d prefer to feel more supported and confident as you begin practising Reiki, Immersion is often the better fit.
Many people find that having additional support after training helps them feel more confident when they begin using Reiki in everyday life and supports them in building a consistent personal practice.

Location
- Purley, South London (easily accessible from Central London and surrounding areas)
- 7 minutes from Purley train station, all main bus routes, and Purley town centre
- Free on- and off-street parking available
Course duration and timing
- Duration: 2-day Reiki Level 1 training
- Timing: 9:00am – 4:00pm (both days)
Group size
- Small, intimate groups (maximum 4 students, often 2–3)
- This allows for a calm, spacious learning environment with time for individual attention and hands-on practice.

Experience level
- No prior experience is needed.
- This course is open to complete beginners as well as those returning to Reiki.
After your training
- You’ll be able to begin practising Reiki straight away for self-healing and to support others.
- You’ll also have opportunities to continue developing your practice through monthly Reiki shares and (if chosen) additional support sessions.
